For many, Debo Adebayo is just another skit maker but the young man popularly known as Mr Macaroni has been gradually changing this narrative, one movie at a time.
Mr. Macaroni also known as Daddy Wa, the Redeemer University Theatre Arts graduate has in recent times shown he is made for the big screens.
From the iconic Tunde Kelani’s biopic, ‘Ayinla’ to Femi Adebayo’s epic blockbuster, ‘King of Thieves, Kunle Afolayan’s ‘Anikulapo’ and more contemporary big projects ‘Brotherhood’ and ‘Gangs of Lagos’, Mr. Macaroni has consistently shown that he is not just another content creator but a complete actor in his own right.
Already, movie fans are anticipating yet another epic, ‘Jagun Jagun’ which features the thespian while many were further amazed when it was announced that he would be featuring in the biopic of the Awujale of Ijebuland, his imperial majesty, Oba Kayode Adetona who happens to be the longest serving monarch in this part of the world.
Mr. Macaroni’s excitement couldn’t be hidden as he recently took to Instagram to share his elation over the Awujale project.
He wrote,
“Elated to be acting as Awujale Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Ogbagba 11 in this amazing biopic of the longest-serving first-class monarch in Nigeria. A courageous and charismatic leader who has been and is still in the business of serving the people as a custodian of culture and tradition.”
The biographical film promises to offer a comprehensive glimpse into the life of Awujale Sikiru Kayode Adetona, whose enduring reign has been marked by leadership, cultural preservation, and community service.
As the embodiment of this revered monarch, Mr. Macaroni’s participation in the project represents a significant breakthrough for Nigerian content creators seeking diverse opportunities in the entertainment industry.
