From ADC to Monarch: Lt. Col. Nurudeen Yusuf Crowned King of Ilemona Town

 

Lieutenant Colonel Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf, who previously served as President Tinubu’s Aide-de-Camp (ADC), has been enthroned as the new King of Ilemona Town in Kwara State.

Yusuf, the son of Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi, the Elemona of Ilemona, brings a distinguished military background to his new role.

Commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK in 2005, he has held prestigious positions including Officer Commanding Presidential Body Guard at State House, Abuja.

His career also saw him serve at the Nigerian Defence Section in Paris and as Staff Officer at Headquarters, NAIC, Abuja.

Similarly, in 2020, the Lagos State Government approved the appointment of Prince Gbolahan Lawal as the Oniru-elect of Iruland.

Lawal, a former Commissioner for Agriculture and ADC to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos State governor, succeeds the late Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru, who passed away in 2019
