In 2019, Fireboy dropped his highly successful debut album, “Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps”. A year later, in the wake of the national lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, he released “Apollo”, his chart-topping second studio album.
As seen in its tracklist, “Playboy” features guest appearances by Ed Sheeran, Chris Brown, Asake, Rema, and Euro.
The album includes the singer’s hit single, “Peru” and its Ed-Sheeran-assisted remix; his now-viral track “Playboy” from which the album derived its name; “Bandana” featuring his label mate Asake.
It would be recalled that Fireboy made history as the first Afrobeats performer at the 2022 BET Awards held in June.
