By Ghetto Light FC suffered a shocking 2 – 0 defeat in the hands of a weakened FC Robo side in the first round of the Ilupeju Township Games football event on Sunday evening.
The Ghetto ballers gave their faithfuls flashes of positive things to come but as has been the issue for some previous matches now they refused to be clinical.
Ayo of Fc Robo guilded home a well placed left footed free kick to give the underdogs the lead to the surprise of many spectators.
As the Ghetto ballers were aggressively chasing an equaliser with 5 minutes to go a defensive howler from Owoseni Damilare gifted the ball to an unrushing FC Robo attacker. And he rounded up the goal keeper before tapping the ball into an empty net.
The team has now registered victory over Future Stars, Onemco FC and Zik FA , a score draw against Lyon Blessing and Peace FA and an agonizing loss against FC Robo since the relaxation of the Covid 19 stay at home.
The club has now played 10 matches since the relaxation of the ban contact sports racking up 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses in the process.
