‘Poco Lee has a case to answer’ — UK court insists

By Ghazali Ibrahim

Contrary to reports that the complainant had withdrawn the case against Nigerian dancer Poco Lee, the UK court has confirmed that proceedings remain active, with a plea and trial preparation hearing scheduled for Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

Snaresbrook Crown Court confirmed to BlackBox Nigeria’s inquiry that Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, was granted bail on September 11.

The court official also confirmed that the scheduled plea and trial preparation hearing will go ahead on Tuesday.

The development comes after reports circulated that the complainant had dropped the case, leading to Poco Lee’s release.

However, the court’s latest update indicates that the case has not been withdrawn and remains before the court.

Poco Lee is facing five sexual offence charges: one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration. He has not been convicted of any offence.
