Excitement As iCare Foundation, Eko Club International Bring Medical Mission To Ikorodu Federal Constituency

In its effort to contribute to the well being of his constituents and address the health challenges in Ikorodu Federal Constituency, the House of Representatives member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency as through his iCare Foundation partnered with Eko Club International to bring medical succour.

 

The free medical mission and community outreach programme saw the provision of health education, diabetes screening and intervention, vision screening, general health screening and intervention, procedures and surgeries, free medication and dental check up for not less than 500 people both young and old.

 

The General secretary of Eko Club International Organization and chairperson of the 2022 medical mission Dr. Lola Ogbara-Alogba, said the team made up of Lagosians in diaspora, made it a point of duty to give back to their community in the area of providing quality healthcare.

 

Speaking about the event that was held at his constituency office, on Friday, October 14, 2022, Rep. Benson wrote on his official Facebook page,” earlier today, over 500 residents of my constituency in Ikorodu benefitted from a community health outreach programme organized by Eko Club International; a global philanthropic and socio-economic development, non-profit organization in collaboration with iCare Foundation. 

 

“The residents were diagnosed and offered free medical care by multi-specialist team of medical practitioners and other health care experts drawn from the USA, UK and Canada. 

 

“Medical services benefitted include; Health education, Diabetes screening and intervention, Vision screening with free frame, General health screening and intervention *Procedures/surgeries, Dental check and Free medication.”

 

He wrote further that he would sustain collaborations “to bring succor to residents in the area of health, particularly, with the facilitation of primary health centres and donation of medical equipment  to hospitals.”

 

He however, urged residents, “to always exercise, eat a balanced diet and adhere to medical advisories for a healthy lifestyle.“
