A reported confrontation involving Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his estranged wife, Natasha, occurred at an event in Abuja on Friday night.
The incident reportedly happened at 90s Lounge during the grand opening of a new venue by singer Faze.
2Baba was scheduled to perform at the event when the reported altercation occurred.
A senior member of the singer’s management team confirmed the confrontation and alleged that Natasha and some men who accompanied her attempted to abduct 2Baba, according to DAILY POST.
The source claimed that Natasha arrived at the venue with security operatives and other men, triggering a confrontation between the group and members of 2Baba’s team.
The management source also claimed that the singer and Natasha had been living separately for more than two months.
However, independent details about what transpired at the venue remain limited.
BlackBox Nigeria was unable to independently verify the allegation of an attempted abduction.
It was also not immediately known whether the confrontation resulted in any injuries or arrests.
Attempts to obtain Natasha’s version of events were unsuccessful before publication.
The reason for the reported confrontation also remained unclear as of press time.
