Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele-Bello has advised young ladies against rushing into marriage because of peer pressure.
She made this known during a recent chat with Chude Jideonwo on his show #withChude.
The actress, who recently celebrated her 5th wedding anniversary with her husband Abdulrasheed Bello popularly known as JJC Skillz, opened up about her first marriage and how her hasty decision to marry led to a failed marriage.
“I just wanted to get married,” she said.
She said that people shouldn’t get married because others were doing so or because parents were pressuring them to do so, rather marriage should be done for the right reasons.
Akindele-Bello explained that her first marriage with Lagos-based businessman, Adeola Oloyede, in 2012 lasted 413 days and ended as a result of issues of abuse.
Undeterred by her failed marriage, she said she found love again in 2016 in JJC Skillz.
