Veteran Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha professionally known as Basketmouth has said his colleague Ayo Makun (AY) won’t perform at his upcoming Lagos show, even after the former publicly apologized to put an end to their 17-year feud.

The two prominent figures in the Nigerian comedy scene recently reconciled after years of animosity, originating from a dispute over a debt that AY claims basketmouth owed him.

But in a shocking development, Basketmouth who publicly apologized to AY said his colleague will not be part of the performance lineup at his much-anticipated show.

He disclosed this during an exclusive interview with Arise TV news.

“AY is not on the bill to perform but he has got a ticket. He’s attending. I sent him his ticket a few days ago,” he said.

“I knew a lot of people have been asking, ‘Is he [AY] gonna perform?’ He’s not on the bill.”

Basketmouth further explained that AY can’t even make a cameo because the show is already designed, saying it is three-hour set to be recorded for TV.

“It’s not the kind of show where anybody would just get on stage. It’s not that kind of show. Everything is timed. Precision to perfection,” he added.
