DESPITE ASISAT OSHOALA’S BRACE, BARCELONA LOSES AT HOME
Despite scoring twice, Nigeria’s wonder kid, Asisat Oshoala couldn’t save Barcelona as they got their first defeat of the season from visitors Recreativo Huelva.
Oshoala opened scoring in the 17 minutes for the Barcelona women which was the lone goal of the first half but the Huelva side returned for the second half more energised. The Sporting Huelva ladies surprised Barcelona with three goals in less than 10 minutes including an own goal from Dutch born defender, Stefanie van der Gragt in the 61st minute.

Asisat however didn’t give up as she strived to return the Barcelona female team back to the winning side. Her efforts were rewarded in the 84th minute well she scored a second goal.
The game ended 2-3 in favour of the visitors.

Asisat Oshoala who joined Barcelona on a six month loan from Chinese side, has now scored three goals in two matches. Her Barcelona debut against Rayo Vallecano saw the 24-year-old African footballer of the year hit the net as Barca walloped their host 4-0.
