Crouch Saves Stoke City From Leicester

Super sub Peter Crouch was able to secure his side a point in their eleventh Premier League match against Leicester City moments ago as his equaliser was all that was needed to keep up with the tempo, as Stoke City had to come back from behind twice.

The match opener was scored by Leicester’s Iborra who celebrated the goal being his first since he joined the club. But an equaliser was scored by Shaqiri before the end of the first half.

Stoke were however overwhelmed in their Pitch by the visitors when Riyadh Mahrez scored with a power strike in the 60th minute, putting the Foxes ahead. Respite soon came for Stoke when Crouch was introduced into the match in the 70th minute. He changed movements of the match and eventually got himself a goal three minutes later after his header from corner kick found the back of the net.

Though, Stoke tried using area balls to get chances at goal but Leicester’s defence were able to keep them out and several attempts were punched off by Schmeichel who had lots of work. The match then ended in a 2-2 draw. The final result saw Leicester move to the fist page of the League table on 10 spots with a total of 13points while Stoke remains on 14th position after 11 games and gathering only 12points.
