Cristiano Ronaldo Gets 5 Match Ban For Shoving Referee
Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a five match ban for pushing the referee ďuring the clash against Barcelona in the 1st leg of Spanish Super Cup.
The Portuguese international who was introduced in the 58th minutes of the match scored the lead of the El-clasico match and in terms course of celeration pulled his shirt which got him booked by the referee.
He was however issued his second yellow card and then red after he was accused of simulation in the 18 yard box of Barca, a decision which got him infuriated and shoved the referee away from himself as they argued.
He has now been banned for five matches to serve as punishment for his act.
The current UEFA Champions League winner will be hosting the second leg of the match on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu and the match ban will be started from then. Ronaldo will now miss four opening matches of the 2017/18 La Liga season.
