Controversial blogger Gistlover calls out Nigerian police over arrest rumours

The brain behind the controversial blog, Gistlover has called out the Nigeria Police Force following rumours of his arrest.

Gistlover was reportedly arrested on Friday on the charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, money laundering, defamation of character, fraud and impersonation during a joint operation by International Police (INTERPOL) operatives of Benin Republic and Nigeria.

Expectedly, fans of the blogger expressed their concerns via Instagram and on their Facebook pages seeking to confirm if the rumour was true.

In response, Gistlover shared a post on Instagram to clear the air and revealed that contrary to the rumour, he was doing well and not in police custody.

The blogger also took to the post to call out the Nigeria Police Force for labelling him wanted.

Dm don hang like this, loads of messages asking if am fine. I am doing so well ooo leave these people make them dey mumu dey go but seriously I need to take this up with @nigeriapoliceforce why are you looking for me? Am I a thief? I dey traffic organ? Or what? Just give me one tangible reason if not we go get issue, you all requested for two weeks to investigate the famous organ trafficker in ANAMBRA, Patrick and his cohort, till now we no hear from una, but na dey drop the info una dey find, why arrest am innocent person and tag the person gistlover, @nigeriapoliceforce take mic oya explain, Baba Usman call your people to order, una leave Princess because say na woman. WHAT IS THE OUTCOME OF THE INVESTIGATION DONE SO FAR? THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW, BABA USMAN COME FORWARD, OYA BEGIN TALK, GBOGBO YIN ONI SHEY ORIRE, YOU EVIL LOT,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Gistlover was declared wanted on February 20, 2023, in connection with allegations he made on his Instagram handle, that top police officers in the state Police Command were involved in kidnapping, the killing of suspects, and human organ harvesting after extorting them.
