By Chioma Ajunwa, Nigeria’s First Olympic Gold Medalist Becomes Police Commissioner
The Police Service Commission moments ago elevated Nigeria’s first and only individual Olympic Goal medalist, Chioma Ajunwa-Okpara to the position of a Assistant Commissioner.
The small event was held at the popular Police College,Ikeja, Lagos State. Before now, the Gold medalist had been in position of a Superintendent of Police.
Prior to her promotion, Asst Commissioner Chioma recently launched a new star discovery Foundatuon in Abuja. Speaking on her promotion, the Director General of the Foundation, Prince Henry Amike disclosed that it came as a result of her professionalism both in Police and her service to the nation.
