Azeez Fashola better known as Naira Marley has been granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi Lagos.

At the resumes hearing today, Naira Marley’s lead counsel, Olalekan Ojo prayed the court to grant the defendant bail above he is still assumed innocent under the law.

The EFCC Prosecuting counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo however sought the court to focus on the main judgment which is more important to the prosecutors that the singer’s temporary release. 

Naira Marley to remain in prison custody till May 30

BlackBox Nigeria has earlier reported that the music act will likely get released on bail at the resumption of hearing today.

The presiding judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo while pronouncing his decision granted Naira Marley a two million Naira bail and two sureties.

Like BlackBox Nigeria earlier reported, the bail was expected and the singer’s legal team have been making preparations to meet with the conditions that would be given. 

The case has been adjourned to October 22.
