The Enugu State Government House also known as Lion Building, Enugu played host to the 11 Governors from the South-East & South-South States in response to the state of the Nation and the rising phenomenon of Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB group who have been clamouring for Sovereign nation Biafra.
It is however surprising to note that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State failed to be present at this critical meeting almost immediately after IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu was received by a mammoth crowd in Onitsha, Anambra state.
The meeting was no doubt very critical to the current development across the country as various individuals and groups have recently expressed their opinions and thoughts as to what is the best way forward for the nation in the light of growing sectional sentiments.
Governors who were present to deliberate over this very sensitive issues were Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa-Ibom state and Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state.
Other are Governor Dave Umahi of Eboyin state, and the host Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. The Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu was also in attendance.
The Abia State Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and his Anambara state counterpart were surprisingly yet to arrive as the governors settle for dinner before deliberation which is set to hold at Nike Lake Resort.
