Armed Forces Remembeance Day Holds January 15

The Nigerian Armed Forces has announced that its Remembrance Day Parade for 2020 will be holding on 15 January every year.

The remembrance day is a day set aside to remember service personnel that paid the supreme sacrifice during the 2nd Word War, the Nigerian Civil War and other combat operations within and outside the country.

According to the Army Public Relations for 9 Brigade, Major Clement Abiade, the celebration already started in Lagos with start with a jumaat service at Alausa Secretariat Mosque.

“As part of the celebration in Lagos State, Jumaat prayers will be held at Alausa Secretariat Mosque Ikeja on Friday, 10 January, 2020 by 1 p.m. This will be followed by an inter-denominational church service at Chapel of Christ Delight (Interdenominational), Alausa, Ikeja on Sunday, 12 January, 2020 by 9 a.m.”
