The Spokesman of the Atiku Campaign organization, Mr Segun Showunmi has been under fire from Nigerians on Twitter following his post on Facebook yesterday which was crafted from a quote by Donald Trump, the president of the United State of America.
Mr Showumi who is also an aspirant of the Federal House of Representatives, Abeokuta South Federal Constituency has been most criticized for not taking the time out to remove the word ‘America’ from the post.
“So to all Nigerians, in every city near and far, small and large, from mountatin to mountain, and from ocean to ocean, her these words; you will never be ignored again. Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams will define our American destiny.” The post reads.
According to a politician, Abubakar Sodiq Usman who first raised the issue on twitter, the spokesman should have edited the ‘America’ and replace it with ‘Nigeria’
His Tweet “Atiku’s spokesperson, Segun Showunmi stole Donald Trump’s message and passed it off as his. He couldn’t even edit the ‘America’ in trump’s message to ‘Nigeria’ in his.”
Other Nigerians have also added their tweets as reaction to this undoing of the ace spokesperson.
