AIT Owners Mourn Death Of Two Kakaaki Presenters

The Board and Management of DAAR Communications Plc, the owners of African Independent Television (AIT), have expressed their deep sorrow over the demise of two of their Kakaaki presenters, Jika Attoh and Perry Tukuwei.

According to a statement issued by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, DAAR Communication Chapter in Abuja, Jika Attoh passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in Enugu, South East Nigeria.

He was the first co-presenter of Kakaaki, when the programme was renamed in late 90s.

He was described as a mentor, broadcast journalism teacher and a unique M.C.

The statement also announced the tragic death of Perry Tukuwei, who was the current presenter on Kakaaki.

He died in a boat mishap in Yenagoa on Wednesday, October 25.

He was praised as a vibrant, young, energetic and broadcast journalist.

The NUJ DAAR Chairman, Patrick Abulu, on behalf of the executives and entire members, conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased, the Kakaaki production crew and the entire DAAR Communications Plc.

He prayed for the repose of their souls and for God to grant them eternal rest.
