The Nigerian Air Force has carried out fresh airstrikes on terrorist enclaves in the The axis of Sambisa Forest, destroying key hideouts and killing several insurgents.

The operation, conducted under Operation Hadin Kai, targeted locations identified as strongholds of terrorist commanders and logistics bases.

According to military sources, the strikes were based on credible intelligence and led to the destruction of critical infrastructure used by the insurgents. Several fighters were reportedly neutralised during the operation.

The Air Force said the bombardment has significantly disrupted the activities of terrorists in the area, weakening their operational capacity.

Authorities added that surveillance and follow-up operations are ongoing to track fleeing insurgents and prevent them from regrouping.

The latest offensive is part of sustained military efforts to degrade terrorist networks and restore stability in Nigeria’s North-East region.
