Premier League defending Champion, Leicester City has terminated the appointment of its best Manager, Claudio Ranieri nine months after he lead the club to its incredible run to the Premier League title.
With the Foxes on just a point above the relegation zone, the Italian was sacked after the team returned home from Wednesday night’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to Sevilla.
In announcing Ranieri’s departure, the club’s Management paid tribute to his achievements as the club’s “Most Successful Manager of all time” but said their perilous League position required action.
The Italian left the Premier League after being sacked by Chelsea after his first stint in 2003. It is also worthy of note that the gaffer was voted the 2016 FIFA Manager of the Year earlier in January.
