Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as Emir Ajagungbade, a political ally of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has been killed.
Oyeyemi was reportedly shot dead on Sunday at Mayfair Garage in Ile-Ife during a dispute linked to the control of a motor park.
The Osun State Police Command confirmed the shooting and said an investigation had commenced to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing.
Governor Adeleke has also ordered the immediate arrest of those suspected to be involved in the incident.
The governor further directed rival groups involved in the park dispute to vacate the motor parks while the state government works on a new park management system.
