The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, is in the news again for taking a new wife.
The Yoruba monarch reportedly got married to another woman, Mariam Ajibola Anako, on September 6, 2022.
The Yoruba monarch recently got Nigerians talking after the news made the rounds that he had taken a new wife. The Ooni’s new marriage was confirmed by his director of media and publicity, Moses Olafare.

1. The new bride, Olori Mariam, is a native of Kogi state.
2. She is an oil and gas mogul who comes from an influential family.
3. Her elder sibling, Mrs Raliat Abdulrahman nee Anako is a Special Adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
4. She is the administrative manager at one of Nigeria’s largest indigenous engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) company in the oil and gas sector.
5. Her parents were based in Ilorin, Kwara state
6. She lost her dad at a young age.
7. She was raised in the home of former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dikko.
8. Her mother is a retired police officer.
