Ghetto Tigers have emerged as the champions of the maiden edition of the Signet Jewelers Youth Cup in Lagos.
The championship was held at the Nitel Sport facility, Oshodi was an avenue to showcase youngsters.
Ghetto Tigers defeated Signet Jewelers by a lone goal in the 35th minute to register another trophy in their cabinet.
The game was electrifying at the blast of the center referee’s whistle with some silky moves.
Both sides produced a highly competitive game that drove the fans wild in excitement.
The Pride of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Ghetto Tigers broke the deadlock with an astonishing finish by youngster Fatiu Alabi in the 35th minute.
Ghetto Tigers had a series of chances to multiply their tally but failed to hit the back of the net before going into the halftime break.
Signet Jewelers FC came out in the second half blazing high but couldn’t break the resolute Ghetto Tigers defense.
Both sides were guilty of squandering goal-scoring chances in the game but it never devoid the game of the promising youngster’s career.
Ghetto Tigers won the encounter with a lone goal to lift the Signet Jewelers Youth Cup trophy at Oshodi.
