Nothing less than 18 people have been left dead following an unfortunate crash involving a tipper and a J5 bus.
The incident which happened over the weekend occurred in Gumel, Jigawa state.
The 18 dead people were the driver and passengers inside the bus at the time of the crime.
BlackBox Nigeria learnt that the tipper had broken down which made the driver abandon it in the middle of the road. The unsuspecting bus driver rammed into it killing himself and 14 others instantly. The remaining three passengers were initially severely injured but gave up the ghost after arriving at the hospital.
Angus Ibezim, the Sector Commander of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state has also confirmed the unfortunate incident while disclosing that the tipper driver is now on the run but he would be apprehended and prosecuted.
