Vice President’s Crash: Chopper Seat Belt Did Wonders

VICE PRESIDENT’S CRASH: CHOPPER SEAT BELT DID WONDERS

Senator Babafemi Ojudu, one of the individuals on-board the helicopter conveying  Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo to Kabba, Kogi State yesterday Saturday February 2nd 2019 has come out to give an insider account on what transpired during the crash.

The former National Assembly member representing Ekiti Central Senatorial district in a statement today while thanking family, friends and associates for their concerns, revealed that the seat belts in the aircraft which did a marvelous job and the security men on ground who quickly rescued the campaign team led by the VP was the only reason they all came out alive.

“To family, friends and associates thank you all for your concern and show of love and affection. I can’t thank you enough. It was a miracle we survived. The belts did a marvellous job and so were the security men on ground that quickly pulled us out of the wreckage not minding their own safety.” The statement reads.

 

The APC chieftain also said that the incident was devoid of any iota of panic as the immediate concern of all was the safety of the Vice President of which they ensured he got out first.

He lauded the bravery showed by the VP who ensured everyone was safe before setting out to the palace of Obaro of Kabba in Kogi State for the scheduled campaign.

 

“We were also calm all through the ordeal. There was no panic of any kind. The immediate concern of all of us was the safety of our principal. We ensured he got out first. He too ensured we were all out before going into a vehicle. When we were all safely in the bus he insisted the assignment must go on and we drove to the palace of Obaro of Kabba. The  Kabba people gave us a warm welcome and showered us with prayers. We thank them all.” He revealed.

 

Ojudu finally expressed his appreciation to God for protection and preventing the helicopter from exploding in flames.
