LASPOTECH shut down over unpaid salaries 

The salary crisis bedevilling LASPOTECH has led to a shut down of the school by aggrieved staff

News reaching BlackBox Nigeria has it that  Lagos State Polytechnic, LASPOTECH main campus has been shut down by aggrieved staff. 

It was gathered that the citadel situated in Ikorodu, Lagos has been grounded for two consecutive days following agitations by non-academic staff who are kicking over non-payment of accruable salary arrears among other sundry issues.

BBN observed that the strike action by the staff under the aegis of Non-Academic staff union (NASU) grounded all activities of the school especially academics, administrative and even commercial activities. 

Yesterday saw the three gates of LASPOTECH completely shut down while some students had to gain entry by scaling the fence into the premises.

The crisis BlackBox Nigeria learnt has been ongoing for quite a while but was further aggravated when some members of the academic staff were paid their dues at the expenses of the non- teaching staff.

It was further gathered that powers in the state seat of power, Alausa have intervened in the crisis as there was a meeting of top management and the aggrieved party yesterday.
