Check Out 4 Major Events That Happened Last Week

Week in week out, events happen everywhere and every day of the week in Nigeria. It’s almost impossible to highlight every event that happens in one state alone, not to talk of the whole Nigeria. As one business is starting, another is celebrating a milestone, yet another is launching a new product into the market.

Well, some notable events caught my attention and I will be bringing you the highlights just in case you missed them.

Moms @ Work 

This program took place on Friday 23rd of November and was put together by MumsAtWorkNg, a platform designed to position mums for greater success thus enabling them to become “Supermums. Sessions were held on how to balance career and family without renegading in any of the fields. TECNO Mobile was a proud sponsor of the event and also gave out incentives to participants.

Camon 11 Launch

New Camon 11 and 11 Pro were introduced on the 19th November at Oriental Hotels, Lagos Nigeria with Full View Notch design and AI-capability. The event was graced by A-list celebrities and top Media platforms. One of the most interesting moments of the event was an electrifying performance from Dance Queen and her Imagneto Dance group. Other top celebrities present at the launch are former Most beautiful girl in Nigeria, Munachi Abii, former BB Naija finalist, Tobi Bakare, King Kong crooner, Vector tha Viper among others.

AFRIFF Festival


The 2018 edition of the African Film Festival (AFRIFF) which took place in Lekki Lagos from the 11th Nov-17th November, brings various film makers and actors around the continent to share their different film making and acting experiences. It also brings together the entertainment and movie industry for the purpose of improving the industry in Nigeria and Africa alike.

TECNO mobile was also part of the sponsors and presented the AFRIFF Short film category award at the glamorous AFRIFF Globe Awards to the eventual winner ‘1745’. On hand to present the award were TECNO Nigeria’s Marketing Manager Abel Huo and T-BOY, the TECNO mascot. It was worth the time and if you missed it, you have no idea what you just threw away.

Popular Instagram comedian, Broda Wasiu thrilled the audience with an amazing show. This was an unusual comedy show unlike what we are used to. No red carpet, no tables! Someone called it “The show of the intellectuals”. He just kept spurring out comedy to the audience like there wasn’t going to be an end.

Like a famous saying goes “all work and no play make jack a dull boy” The Festive period is here and there are lots of shows and activities Nationwide go out, chill relax and flex. Life has no duplicate. These are some of the events that took place last week, which one did you miss?
