Alimosho LG Chairman Shuts Down Popular Market Over Sanitation Issues

The popular Olugbede Model Market in Alimosho Local Government has been shut down for continuous defaulting of sanitation issues, BlackBox Nigeria has learnt.

The market which is a mini computer village was gathered has fast become an environmental eyesore due to neglect by traders in cleaning the environments adjourning the market.

BBN further learnt that, while embarking on an awareness tour moments ago, the LG chairman, Hon Jelili Sulaimon angered by the state of the market ordered that it be shut down immediately due to the state of the frontal and surrounding areas of the market.

The Chairman gave this order while leading the Operation Clean Alimosho rally.

BlackBox Nigeria inquired on the modalities that will lead to the reopening of the market and was informed by a staff of the Local Government who doesn’t want his named mentioned that “the market should be clean, after which the local government will send delegation to inspect.”
