Youth Leaders Award Babajimi Benson Best Lawmaker In Lagos East

Rep Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Chairman House Committee on Defence, at the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly, was, on Saturday, honoured with an Outstanding/Merit Award by the Lagos East Senatorial Youths.

The Ikorodu-born lawmaker was honoured as the Best MHR in Lagos East on youth development in the year 2020.

The award was presented to Hon. Benson during the monthly distribution of food items to 500 households through the iCARE Foodbank programme, held at his constituency office along Igbogbo Road, Ikorodu.

The iCARE Foodbank is an initiative of Hon. Benson’s iCare Foundation that distributes, on monthly basis, food and grocery products to individuals and vulnerable families within Ikorodu Division. These items are packaged in a bag called ‘APO AANU’.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Lagos East Youth Leader, Alhaji Bashir Adekoya said Hon. Benson has made a name for himself in the Lagos East through his quality representation, noting that it didn’t came as a surprise that he was singled out for the honour.
