Ms. Folasade Balogun, formerly known as Mrs. Folasade Gbadamosi, the estranged wife of Babatunde Gbadamosi, former Lagos gubernatorial candidate, along with her legal representatives acting on behalf of Redbrick Homes International Ltd and Ashlead Estates Ltd, have issued a rebuttal regarding recent social media assertions made by Babatunde Gbadamosi concerning the ownership of properties linked to ongoing divorce proceedings.

Blackbox Nigeria had earlier reported on Babatunde Gbadamosi’s statement alleging that his estranged wife wants to hurriedly liquidate and dissipate these assets to unsuspecting buyers in order to foist a fait accompli upon the court in her sham petition, which claims that their 21-year long marriage produced no marital property for division and distribution.

However, in a statement released today, the solicitors clarified that Mr. Gbadamosi’s claims regarding Amen Estate and Amen Estate Phase 2 on Eleko Beach Road, Ibeju-Lekki are entirely false. They emphasized that Mr. Gbadamosi voluntarily relinquished his shareholding interest in Redbrick and Ashlead, alongside resigning from his directorship positions in both companies as of July 2021.

“Babatunde Gbadamosi voluntarily relinquished his entire shareholding interest in Redbrick and Ashlead and resigned his directorship in these companies as far back as July 2021 under a notarized legal instrument. He has no interest whatsoever in either the above companies or any of their assets that he listed, namely Amen Estate, Amen Estate 2, TIARA, Emerald Bay, Emerald Park, and Amen City,” the statement reads.

The statement completely denies Mr. Gbadamosi’s claim that the properties mentioned, including TIARA, Emerald Bay, Emerald Park, and Amen City, belong to Redbrick and Ashlead or are part of the ongoing legal dispute between Mr. Gbadamosi and Ms. Sade Balogun.

Furthermore, the legal representatives affirmed that none of the assets listed by Mr. Gbadamosi as “marital assets” are currently part of the legal dispute. They urged the public to disregard his claims, emphasizing that Mr. Gbadamosi no longer holds any legal or financial stake in the properties or the companies mentioned.
