Yoruba Activist Sunday Igboho’s House Set On Fire

The house of Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho is currently on fire.

The house, situated in Ibadan, Oyo went up in flames minutes after electrical power was withdrawn, leaving the entire area in a blackout, sources say.

However, while the immediate cause of the fire outbreak is still equivocal, speculations suggest that the house was burnt as a reprisal attack.

Recall that Sunday Igboho had visited Igangan community of Ibarapa zone of Oyo State, on Sunday to enforce his seven-day quit notice to the Fulani herdsmen in the area, following his visitation 11 houses, including those belonging to the Seriki Fulani in Ibarapa, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, were allegedly set on fire by irate youths on Friday night.

On January 15, Sunday ordered Fulanis in the Igangan community  in Ibarapa North Local Government Area, to leave the State, blaming them for the spate of murders and abductions in recent months.
