The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has described the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Bobby Monroe as a big liar who speaks from both sides of his mouth, noting that the continued killings of Nigerians are man inhumanity to man.
The NYCN condemns the response and denial by South Africa’s high commissioner when summoned by the Nigeria Minister of foreign affairs, Geoffery Onyeama on the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari over the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South-south Africa.
NYCN southwest Vice President, Amb. Amosu Oluwatomi in a phone chat expresses his displeasure over the denial by the envoy despite the available video evidence on social media.
Also reacting to the trending video of Bongani Mkongi, the Deputy Police Minister on his support for Xenophobic, NYCN urged the African Union and International Security chiefs to sanction him over his comments.
The Vice President also demanded that the South African government tender an unreserved apology to Nigerians, compensate those affected for their losses, provide adequate security for them, their properties and ensure all those involved in the animalistic act are duly punished to serve as a deterrent to others.
He commends President Muhammadu Buhari for sending envoys to South Africa President, and also charged the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa to quickly caution South Africans.
He warned that any further attack on Nigerians, the Nigerian youth will retaliate with maximum action against South Africans, their embassies, businesses and ensure that Nigeria government cut off all diplomatic relations with the country.
