#WorldSpeechDay: Lagos youngest Councillor calls for more youth involvement in politics

Lagos State youngest councillor, Hon. Ayotunde Adenuga has called on young people to get actively involved in politics.
The outspoken lawmaker who represents Ward C at Ikeja Local Government was speaking to BlackBox Nigeria after delivering a presentation at a World Speech Day event in Lagos.
Hon. Adenuga stated categorically that the battle to get more youths involved in decision making my was a fight that must be strongly fought saying that “those with good intentions for a better Nigeria are minimal in out society”.
The young councillor also made a plea to electorates about the importance of getting their voters card which is their strongest weapon as elections draw near.

He further stated emphatically that while we call for Youth participation in politics, it does not totally mean that the older ones should be relegated because they are the pillars for the youth.

Ayotunde Adenuga who is the Deputy Leader of Ikeja Local Government is also one of the strongest voices of the #NotTooYoungToRun campaign.
He added that he is appreciative of his political leaders in Ikeja who gave him an opportunity to be a leading voice in his generation. He specifically mentioned the APC South-West Women Leader, Chief Mrs Olukemi Nelson as well as Alhaji Dally Adeokun amongst other prominent leaders.
