The Lagos East Senatorial Women Leader, Yeye Fausat Gbadebo has empowered women in her locality in self-sufficiency. Hosting the women earlier today at the Ijede LCDA Secretariat, the top politician held the poverty alleviation program while extoling the virtues of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and a need to ensure his re-election.

The event which had top female politicians in the Lagos East Senatorial District in attendance saw the crowd jointly endorse Ambode for another term in office.

While speaking at the empowerment and endorsement program, Yeye Fausat Gbadebo who is a former Chairman of the LCDA disclosed that Governor Ambode has been a blessing to the people of Lagos and its environs.

“We at Ijede LCDA and indeed the entire women of Lagos East Senatorial District hereby endorse our amiable Governor for another term as it is a well deserving honour due to the success of his first term at the helms of affairs.”

She further disclosed that the poverty alleviation program was organised to ensure that “our women are empowered in order to discourage them from being a liability to the community.”

Items distributed at the program included Sewing Machines, Grinding Machines and cooling units for selling of soft drinks.

Yeye Gbadebo who specially thanked Senator Gbenga Ashafa and Hon. Babajimi Benson both of the National Assembly for supporting the project also appreciated all the local government and ward level women leaders who were part of the success of the ceremony.

Amongst those who graced the event were the Women Leader of Epe, Mrs Afolashade Agbalajobi as well as Mrs Adeola Rotinwa, Mrs Bashorun, Mrs Adekoya, Mrs Oshinowo, Mrs Funmi Ogunusi, Mrs Enifeni Taiwo, Mrs Okeowo Kehinde, Hon. Shitta Akeem, Hon. Bisiriyu Saheed, Hon. Kehinde Fadeyi, Alhaja Simbiat Aluko, Hon. Folorunsho Falohun and Hon. Kehinde Fesomu amongst others.
