By WOMAN DECRIES NEGLECT BY NYSC AFTER 2 YEARS OF ACCIDENT, 2 SURGERIES DURING SERVICE YEAR
This time last week, one major news that made the headlines across media platforms was the presidential award given selected ex-corps members that distinguished themselves during service year.
It is in this euphoria that another ex-corps member recently took to her Instagram page to lament the neglect by the management of the scheme after sustaining a ghastly accident during service year that saw her undergo two different surgeries.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered according to this ex-corps member with the handle, @zahraakomolafe that after she survive these surgeries, she was assured by the management of the scheme that every amount spent would be reimbursed but two years down the line, she is yet to be refunded.

Below she recounts her experience and twist of fate by virtue of obeying the clarion call:
I see Federal Government celebrate some Ex corp members, what happens to does of us who had accident during service year and has asked for reimbursement for the past 2 years and haven’t heard anything.
On my way to camp in Enugu for my NYSC service, January 24th 2017, i was involved in an accident at Enugu was taken to National Orthopedic Hospital Enugu, i underwent 2 major surgeries on both legs, i was redeployed to Lagos to continue my service/ treatment.
I was told by NYSC Secretariat office Lagos state in surulere that i will be the one to pay for all my treatment and at the end of my service year, i will be reimbursed.
As i speak to you it is now 2 years that i have submitted to NYSC Secretariat office Lagos state surulere, and have not gotten response from them, when i called i was told it as been sent to Abuja, I called Abuja i was told it is in Lagos.. .
I went for check up and the out come is not friendly, no job, no money, i am to do x- ray now to see how it as healed and prepare for another surgery for removal…
I am begging you all @womenofrubies @diaryofanaijagirl @bankywellington @tundeednut_update to help me call on @officialnyscng to refund all the money i spent, while i was obeying the CLARION CALL.
