By Wizkid, Lagbaja, Ayuba, Sauti Sol others pay tribute as #Felabration2017 comes to an end
It was a night of great music and tributes as the 2017 edition of Felabration came to an end in Lagos as top music acts were on ground for the ground finale of the annual event which is in honor of iconic musician, the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Leading the star studded ensemble on the night was Fela’s eldest son, Femi who dished out several numbers to the excitement of the massive crowd. Other top performers of the night came from the masked one, Lagbaja as well as veteran Fuji musician, Adewale Ayuba, Oritsefemi, Tekno, Burna Boy, L.A.X and Kenyan band, Sauti Sol.
The major highlight of the night was however the performance of Wizkid who was performing in Nigeria for the first time since his massive London concert. Wizzy thrilled the excited fun revelers with some of his popular jams and even got support from Femi Kuti and protégée, L.A.X.
The grand finale of Felabration 2017 was preceded by an earlier unveiling of a statue of Fela by the Lagos State Government. The statue which is situated at the popular Allen junction in Ikeja has also so far been getting positive commendations for the state government led by Governor Akinwumi Ambode.
