Who Will Be The Next James Bond? See Full List Of Top Contenders

Following the retirement of Daniel Craig as the legendary British spy “James Bond” actor, lovers of the franchise have been asking “who is next?”.

While netizens have taken to Twitter to share recommendations on who should be the new James Bond, several other famous actors have began to show interest in the role.

Before we reveal who these actors are, let us first see some pictorial recommendations from users of the bird app, but be warned, these recommendations are what you would least expect.

These recommendations must be a joke, right? well, do not say you were not warned.

Now, let’s see some real bad ass actors who are likely to take over from the blond-haired, blue-eyed Daniel.

Tom Hardy

Our first contender for the 007 role is Edward Thomas Hardy. He is an English actor, producer and former model.

After studying acting at the Drama Centre London, he made his film debut in Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down (2001). He has since been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, two Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and two British Academy Film Awards, receiving the 2011 BAFTA Rising Star Award.

Hardy has also appeared in such films as Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), RocknRolla (2008), Bronson (2008), Warrior (2011), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), Lawless (2012), This Means War (2012), Locke (2013), The Drop (2014), and The Revenant (2015), for which he received a nomination for an Academy Award. In 2015, he portrayed “Mad” Max Rockatansky in Mad Max: Fury Road and both Kray twins in Legend.

He has appeared in three Christopher Nolan films: Inception (2010), The Dark Knight Rises (2012) as Bane, and Dunkirk (2017) as an RAF fighter-pilot. He starred as Eddie Brock / Venom in the 2018 anti-hero film Venom, a role he is set to reprise in Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021).

Michael B Jordan

Michael Bakari Jordan, born February 9, 1987 is an American actor and producer.

He is known for his film roles as shooting victim Oscar Grant in the drama Fruitvale Station (2013), boxer Donnie Creed in Creed (2015), and Erik Killmonger in Black Panther (2018), all three of which were written and directed by Ryan Coogler.

Jordan reprised the role of Creed in Creed II (2018), and Killmonger in What If…? (2021), and is set to star and make his directorial debut in Creed III (2022).

Jordan initially broke out in television roles, including Wallace in first season of the HBO crime drama series The Wire (2002); Reggie Montgomery on the ABC soap opera All My Children (2003–2006) and Vince Howard in the NBC sports drama series Friday Night Lights (2009–2011). His other film performances include Red Tails (2012), Chronicle (2012), That Awkward Moment (2014), Fantastic Four (2015), and Just Mercy (2019), where he portrayed Bryan Stevenson.

Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender , born 2 April 1977 is an Irish-German actor and racing driver.

His feature film debut was in the fantasy war epic 300 (2007) as a Spartan warrior; his earlier roles included various stage productions, as well as starring roles on television such as in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers (2001) and the Sky One fantasy drama Hex (2004–05).

He first came to prominence for his role as IRA volunteer Bobby Sands in Hunger (2008), for which he won a British Independent Film Award. Subsequent roles include in the independent film Fish Tank (2009), as a Royal Marines lieutenant in Inglourious Basterds (2009), as Edward Rochester in the 2011 film adaptation of Jane Eyre, as Carl Jung in A Dangerous Method (2011), as the sentient android David 8 in Prometheus (2012) and its sequel, Alien: Covenant (2017), and in the musical comedy-drama Frank (2014) as an eccentric musician loosely inspired by Frank Sidebottom.

Tom Holland

Thomas Stanley Holland, born 1 June 1996 is an English actor. A graduate of the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in London, he began his acting career on London stage in the title role of Billy Elliot the Musical in the West End theatre from 2008 to 2010. He then starred in the disaster film The Impossible (2012), for which he received a London Film Critics Circle Award for Young British Performer of the Year.

Holland achieved international fame for portraying Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films Captain America: Civil War (2016), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). In 2017, 20-year-old Holland won the BAFTA Rising Star Award, as the second-youngest recipient at the time.

Regé-Jean Page is an English actor. He is known for playing Chicken George in the 2016 miniseries Roots, and was a regular cast member on the ABC legal drama For the People from 2018 to 2019.

In 2020, Page starred in season one of the Netflix period drama Bridgerton as Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings for which he won the Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series NAACP Image Award.

Idris Elba

Idrissa Akuna Elba, born 6 September 1972) is an English actor, producer, director and musician. He is known for roles including Stringer Bell in the HBO series The Wire, DCI John Luther in the BBC One series Luther, and Nelson Mandela in the biographical film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013). He has been nominated four times for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film, winning one, and was nominated five times for a Primetime Emmy Award.

Thomas William Hiddleston, born 9 February 1981, is an English actor. He is the recipient of various accolades, including a Golden Globe Award and a Laurence Olivier Award, in addition to nominations for a Tony Award, a British Academy Film Award, and two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Hiddleston made his film debut in the drama Unrelated (2007). Harry Styles

Harry Edward Styles, born 1 February 1994, is an English singer, songwriter and actor. His musical career began in 2010 as a solo contestant on the British music competition series The X Factor. Following his elimination early on, he was brought back to join the boy band One Direction, which went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.
