The President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has allegedly flown out of the country to France in preparation for his swearing-in as the 16th president of Nigeria following his victory in the February 25 presidential polls.

According to a report by the Guild, Tinubu made the trip on Tuesday in a bid to spend quality time with his team to study Nigeria’s challenges as the task ahead of him is a huge one that requires special attention which cannot be achieved if he remains in Nigeria till inauguration day.

Tinubu had, however, left the country on undisclosed grounds as members of the public and a large number of his associates are not in the know about the said trip.

This has left various speculations regarding the true intentions of the trip.

Another report gathered from Sahara Reporters indicates that the president-elect had scooted out of the country on Tuesday night, not for inauguration preparation reasons but to seek urgent medical attention.

Tinubu had allegedly fallen ill after the hectic electioneering that led to his emergence as the President-elect and the tension that built up ahead of the March 18 Lagos State governorship and House of Assembly elections.

The former Lagos Governor, who had been allegedly attended to by local doctors, was said to have flown to Europe for proper medical care.

A source gathered from Sahara Reporters further confirmed the ill health of the President-elect.

“He initially said his doctors should be brought down to Nigeria for him, and that when things die down, he would leave. But I’ve confirmed that he left last night because he is definitely ill,” the source confirmed.

A Twitter whistleblowing page, @PIDOMNIGERIA had also alleged that Tinubu had fallen ill a night to the guber polls and was rushed to the hospital although he was seen voting in the March 18 guber elections.

These speculations have however not been confirmed yet as Tinubu and his team are yet to give a statement on his trip or the rumour regarding his health.
