BlackBox Nigeria reliably gathered that both the head and chief accounting officer of the Ministry are in far away Brazil for the on-going Rio Olympics.

This development have however brew reactions from all quarters who had been gearing for the day. Complaints about the shortcomings of the Minister in areas relating to both Youth and Sports Development in recent with the late funding of the plane tickets to fly the Dream Team from Atlanta to Brazil and news of outstanding bonuses calls to question the competency of Mr. Dalong (Sankara) in managing the youth ministry.

BBN further gathered that Minister Solomon Dalung and Mr Christian Ohaa, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry are both in Rio personally over-seeing the activities of TeamNigeria in the Olympic games.

Inside sources revealed that the ministry actually set up a committee to put up a programme for today and the committee was able to get sponsors. However, because the Permanent Secretary is not around and does not want to be short charged in the proceeds that might come from the event, he ordered that the fund be returned to the donors, hence, no program.
