UNOFFICIAL! APC’s Candidate, Fayemi Wins Governorship Election

 

With results released by different Political Parties agents so far, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Dr John Kayode Fayemi have emerge the winner of the Ekiti State July 14th Gubernatorial Election.

According to the unofficial figures currently making rounds online, the former Minister of defeated his close rival, Professor Olusola Eleka of the People’s Democratic Party. In a result chart sighted by BlackBox Nigeria, it was shown that Fayemi had won 12 Local Government Areas, while PDP won the remaining 4 LGAs.

Late Saturday night, report also went viral when the results of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government was announced, and to the surprise of many, the State’s main opposition party, APC won it. The surprise was not as a result of the figures, but because it was the hometown of the outgoing Governor, Peter Ayodele Fayose. The unofficial figures were put at 13,869 votes for APC and 11,456 votes for PDP, leaving the votes margin at 2,413.

As at the time of filing this report, the Independent National Electoral Commission is yet to release the official results. But BBN gathered that the State Collation Center is all set to commence with announcing the results.
