For boxing fans around the world, yesterday’s night fight in Saudi Arabia where Anthony Joshua reclaimed his titles from Andy Ruiz was surreal.
Nigerian born British fighter, Anthony Joshua got his revenge against Andy Ruiz Jr in their rematch thereby estimated to earn between £40million – £60million for beating Ruiz.
Though the final sum for the rematch will depend on the pay-per-view sales generated by the event, mainly in the UK, but also worldwide. If the average earning is put at £47 million, that would be about 22 billion Naira in Nigeria’s currency.
