Trailer carrying APC campaign rice kills 20 after brake failure 

Today is a sad day for Ekiti and indeed Nigeria as a trailer transporting bags of rice have claimed the lives at least 20 people. The accident was as a result of brake failure. 

BlackBox Nigeria gathers that the trailer was carrying branded bags of rice belonging to Senator Tayo Alasoadura who is seeking re-election in the Ondo Central Senatorial district in the coming elections.

The unfortunate accident happened at a roadside market at Iworoko Ekiti, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State. The truck which belongs to Dangote Group lost its brake and rammed onto other vehicles. The affected vehicles include an 18-Seater passenger bus and a Toyota Corrolla car. 

The incident which happened close to Ekiti State University was a very fatal one claiming amongst others the lives of students, market women and many others. 

The branded rice which has now been termed ‘Election Rice’ is reported to be on its way to Ondo state from Abuja.
