By Toyin Gafaar Expresses Dissatisfaction Over Grassing Of Teslim Balogun Stadium
The Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), Oluwatoyin Gafaar has expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of work done at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Gafaar made this known today July 10, 2019, when he met with the contractor handling the regressing of the stadium turf and expressed dissatisfaction over work done. He subsequently set a new mandate and deadline for the contractor.
The Teslim Balogun Stadium Turf is being converted from artificial turf to natural grass for proper maintenance. The stadium named after former professional footballer Teslim Balogun was completed in 
, 23 years after its construction was initiated by the administration of military governor Gbolahan Mudasiru.
The stadium located directly opposite the National Stadium is used mostly for football matches and has a capacity of 24,325 people.
Toyin Gafaar who is widely known as Bolowotan was appointed as the Director General of the Sports Commission by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on June 20. He has since expressed readiness to turn the fortunes of sports around in the state.
