Top Kwara APC chieftain dies in his sleep

Oladipupo Ola-Peters, an aspirant for the Kwara State House of Assembly seat in Share/Oke-Ode Constituency, is dead.

The politician was said to have died in his sleep in the early hours of Thursday, in Lagos. However, details about the actual cause of his death are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.

Ola-Peters was a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilere district of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The deceased was one of the aggrieved aspirants for the crisis-ridden APC House of Assembly primaries in Share/Oke-Ode Constituency which produced no actual flagbearer.

The Kwara State governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye, described the death of Ola-Peters as shocking and devastating.

He also commiserated with the Idera Community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state and the APC family on the death of the prominent chieftain of the party in the state.
