Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has taken issue with Pastor Tunde Bakare’s recent comments regarding the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad.
During a sermon in Leicester, United Kingdom, at a church event on Sunday, Pastor Bakare discussed the repercussions of Mohbad’s actions and criticized his stage name, “Mohbad,” which means “I am bad,” as well as his choice of friends.
Responding to Bakare’s remarks on her Instagram page on Monday, Tonto Dikeh pointed out that Bakare had never addressed the questionable actions of his colleagues but was quick to comment on Mohbad’s passing.
“Dear Pastor Tunde,” Tonto Dikeh wrote on Instagram, “When your colleagues are caught in unholy sexual activities, we never hear your voice, you never speak or preach about them. But when it comes to the death of a young man who could be your last born, you say ‘HE REAPED THE REWARD OF HIS ACTIONS.’ What actions?
“Please, please, please MAINTAIN THE SAME ENERGY with your corrupt colleagues as you did today. It’s the anointing of God upon your head that’s preventing me from strongly reacting to this LOOSE COMMENT OF YOURS.
“I’ve learned over the years that if you have nothing nice to say, it’s best to keep quiet (DON’T SPEAK AT ALL). Preach your gospel and leave MohBad’s name out of your ministry.
