President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially communicated to the National Assembly, retracting the nomination of Maryam Shetty as a ministerial nominee from Kano State.
This decision comes after a supplementary list, containing 19 more individuals for ministerial positions, was submitted by the President to the upper chamber, as reported by Blacboxnigeria on Wednesday.
Maryam Shetty was initially included in the President’s 28-man list, which was earlier sent to the National Assembly for screening and confirmation.
However, in the latest turn of events, President Tinubu has requested the Senate to replace Maryam Shetty with Dr. Mairiga Mahmud for the ministerial position.
