President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday met with coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors from across Nigeria’s 36 states at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in what observers see as a move to strengthen political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting, which brought together key grassroots campaign figures aligned with the president’s political agenda, focused on sustaining public engagement and promoting the administration’s reform policies.

During the engagement, Tinubu assured supporters of his commitment to delivering on his mandate, pledging not to disappoint Nigerians as his government continues to implement economic and governance reforms.

While the gathering has fueled speculation about a potential second-term bid, there are indications shows by the president regarding his intention to contest in the next election cycle.

Political analysts say the meeting reflects early signs of strategic positioning within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as allies and support groups begin to consolidate ahead of 2027.

Tinubu, who assumed office in 2023, is constitutionally eligible to seek re-election, though he has yet to publicly confirm his plans but the meeting positioned him in a gesture that many sees as declaration of interest.
