It was a night indeed filled with love as Lagos State University graduate, Abdul Rahman Idris popularly known as SMDase (Super Dase) took the bold step by proposing to his long time girl-friend, Ashiru Modupe of Kira Jameel Make-Over at the glamorous Renaissance Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
He started the move by singing three special love songs he had selected; Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, Aduke by Tjan and Ololufe by Wande Coal, all which he sang to the rhythm coming from a guitar and piano.
The mode with which the proposal was made soon turn out to be the first of sought in 2017 as no one has gone to that length to pop the question, at least, not one reported.
The evening soon turn out not to be one of the regular nights as the couple soon dragged the attention of other guests of the hotel as friends and family present for the birthday surprise of Modupe started stepping out from the background one after the other, till the circle was full.
