The Tinubu-Hamzat Epe Division Solidarity Front (THEDSF) has announced plans to commence an intensive training programme for 601 Polling Unit Volunteers (PUVs) across Epe Division as part of its grassroots mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to a statement issued by the organisation on Thursday, October 1, 2026, the training will begin on Saturday, October 10, starting with Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area.

The organisation said other local governments and Local Council Development Areas in the division would take their turns according to an approved training timetable.

The programme will cover Epe LGA, Ibeju-Lekki LGA, Eredo LCDA, Lekki LCDA and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, with THEDSF stating that its structure spans 30 wards and 601 polling units across the division.

THEDSF Director-General, Comrade Giwa Moshood Olasupo, said the training was designed to strengthen the organisation’s grassroots engagement structure through what he described as a structured, data-driven and result-oriented approach to voter mobilisation.

The volunteers are expected to receive training on grassroots engagement and mobilisation, including door-to-door engagements, base-to-base mobilisation, market-to-market outreach and community-to-community interactions.

The Director of Mobilisation and Membership, Ambassador Bukola Animashaun, said the programme forms part of THEDSF’s wider mobilisation plan towards its stated target of 200,000 votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

THEDSF Director of Communications, Engr. Ahmed Gbajumo, said the polling-unit training would help bridge the gap between the organisation’s online activities and physical engagement within communities.

He said the initiative would create a more coordinated network of volunteers capable of operating within their respective polling-unit environments.

The organisation said the training is expected to strengthen coordination, communication, field engagement and data-informed mobilisation across Epe Division as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.

THEDSF described the structure as 601 polling units, 30 wards and five LGAs/LCDAs under one coordinated grassroots network.
